{Nature & Nurture}

/ˈneɪ.tʃəʳ ænd ˈnɜː.tʃəʳ/

[1] A pure reflection of your natural state, simply being as it is.

[2] Nurture rises from a meeting with your true nature, the way you care for your body, your feelings and your needs as an act of living kindness toward yourself.

[3] The clarity of nature and the tenderness of nurture reveal how ready you are to live what you feel in a body that is safe, soft and awake.

Nature serves as a living companion to this retreat. The green embrace of the valley and flowing waters bring out a different kind of listening and connecting. It gently invites you to recognise how it lives in you. Each meeting is an intimate encounter with pure life force energy vibrating within and around you. During the retreat you are welcomed into a silent walk in the forest, a visit to the hot springs, to  plunge into the waterfall and the natural swimming pool,  to let your body be touched by the elements.

Nurture is meant to be our first nature. To take care of yourself is an act of love toward the life that moves through your body. Flower baths cradle you in fragrance and colour, warm oil massages are available to soften and soothe, and the sweatlodge becomes a womb of heat, steam and prayer. As you allow yourself to be cared for, it becomes easier to feel your true needs and to sense how deeply your nature is woven with the greater nature around you.

Nourishment is part of this practice. One meal a day we eat in silence so that colours, scents, textures and flavours receive your full attention. Each meal becomes a ceremony of presence, a way of listening to how your body receives the noursihments. In this simple, attentive space, eating becomes a quiet prayer and your whole system is invited into deeper harmony.
